Warren Crawford

Warren brings over 20 years of training experience to Bigger & Better Journey, a company he founded in 2007 with his fellow instructor, Melanie Crawford.

Leading the Computer Training Division, he creates a unique learning environment resulting from a rich blend of academic expertise and pursuits. With a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree, MCP and Microsoft Office Master Certifications, Warren's diversified credentials as a Dale Carnegie, Train the Trainer, and Facilitator of Adult Learning graduate ensure students excel and rejuvenate.

His extensive background working with landed immigrants and their myriad of transitional needs, honed Warren's special gift of "Holistic Teaching". His methods engage students while successfully imparting curriculum-based knowledge.

In addition to his professional experience, he is actively involved in assisting several foundations and community based service agencies that specialize in personal growth and development. As an active community volunteer in several municipalities, he has been recognized by McMaster Sick Kids Hospital for his longstanding dedication in helping families cope with childhood trauma and sickness.

Warren and the Bigger & Better Journey team are actively involved in the research and development of several new programs and curriculums complimenting their "Holistic Approach" to learning. Customized for diversified audiences and specialty groups, these programs are designed to enhance the quality of life and enable individuals to continue to thrive, grow and lead healthy, purposeful lives.

   

Melanie Crawford

Melanie's vibrant personality and skillful training attributes continue to lead her to the center stage as a certified instructor, facilitator and motivational coach. Her ascent from an emerging career in comedy and entertainment continues to captivate audiences while establishing meaningful long-standing relationships. Her unique brand of humour, and sense of humanity have been transforming students since she began her instructing career in 2004.

Industry peers have recognized this overachiever who is the recipient of the Dale Carnegie Highest Award for Achievement. This includes, several academic specializations as a Simply Accounting & QuickBooks Trainer along with diverse certifications in Team Excellence, Customer Service and Salesmanship.

She is an Assistant Dale Carnegie Business Coach, certified Tourism Ontario Super Host, Fanshawe College Developmental Services scholar and Train the Trainer graduate. Melanie's aptitude has also led her to achieve her Microsoft Office Master Certification.

As an accomplished curriculum researcher and developer, Melanie is actively engaged in managing the learning centre's daily operations. Although as the architect of the Bigger & Better Journey Speaker Series, intimate groups to audiences of over 200 patrons remain captivated and have kept her traveling throughout Southern Ontario.

Yet she makes time for community endeavours as an active member of the Brantford & District Brain Injury Association since 2002. Her appointment on their Board of Directors started in 2005, resulting in several contributions as their newsletter editor and membership chair. Melanie received a special Volunteer Recognition Award in 2008 from the Association. Also, her energetic talents are a welcomed addition to The Brantford Club Entertainment Committee.

It was 2007 when Melanie joined forces with her fellow instructor Warren Crawford to launch Bigger & Better Journey. Their new Learning Centre is located at 43 Spalding Drive in Brantford, Ontario. This fruitful partnership continues to thrive while changing lives due to their unique "Holistic Learning" approach reflected throughout the delivery of all certified curriculums, training programs, seminars, workshops and coaching sessions.

   

Jane Salvatore

Jane's extensive career within the multi-national corporate sector as a director and customer service representative, provides the perfect blend of administrative expertise to the Bigger and Better Journey Learning Centre team.

Whether she’s supervising daily operations, coordinating training scheduling or overseeing our student relations and alumni requests, her attention to detail guarantees expedient results. Jane’s diversity and pleasant disposition ensure all client requests receive her special brand of ‘professional and personal’ attention.

As a Mohawk College accounting graduate, her attributes in commerce and finance management and training in health and safety practices, compliment the growing needs of our newly expanded learning centre.

 

Pauline
Wall
Bigger & Better Journey is thrilled to be welcoming Pauline Wall to our team. Pauline brings an abundance of knowledge and expertise to our team as our part time Event Coordinator & Project Management Specialist.

Pauline has been successful in achieving her Human Resources Certificate with honours and is a University Graduate. Over the last decade she has developed a wide range of skills and competencies that will nicely compliment the Bigger & Better Journey team.

Career accomplishments reveal an impressive background in coordinating, organizing and taking initiative with tact and diplomacy in all areas within the service agency sector.

Pauline’s volunteer pursuits include the respectable position of VP of Public Relations for Brant Toastmasters as well as involvement with the Human Resources Professional Association of Ontario during their Annual Conference and Trade Shows.

Enhancing quality of life is reflected in every aspect of Pauline’s personal and professional life. Whether she’s immersed in an exciting outdoor recreational adventure or  busy managing her career responsibilities, Pauline embraces each task as an opportunity to learn and contribute to the world around her .


David

Hunter

David Hunter has joined the family business at the seasoned age of 10 and can be found helping with outdoor maintenance and various other odd-jobs within the office. In the years to come David hopes to play a bigger role in the organization by taking on scheduling and customer relations.

David has been an Achievement Roll recipient for the past 3 years and his favourite subject in school is math. His unique sense of humour and cheerful disposition make him well liked among his peers and teachers. His family is growing at a rapid rate and David is honoured to be the big brother to 3 year old Jillian, 4 month old Hope, 1 month old Ethan and has another baby brother or sister on the way.

David’s hobbies include baseball, drawing train maps & locomotives, reading ‘Transformers’ novels and sleeping. In his spare time David can be found in the computer lab at the Learning Centre researching train and locomotive history and is aspiring to be an engineer for his all-time favourite railway – Canadian Pacific.
